Rosa Antoinette Spicer - November 18, 1945 - August 06, 2017

Rosa Antoinette Spicer, 72, passed away on Sunday August 6, 2017, peacefully and at her home in Melbourne, FL. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, she moved to Florida after her retirement in 2003.

An Avid classic movie lover and Hilary Clinton supporter, Rosa was not often seen without a book in her hand or a coffee close by. Rosa was the first female meat cutters for Safeway Food. She worked for Safeway for 28 years and held various roles in the meat department. Rosa served as Chaplin for the American Legion Auxiliary (Edgewood Post) for 6 years, and since relocating to Melbourne has passed her time writing newsletters and serving as secretary briefly for the Italian club in Melbourne. She recently supported Hilary Clinton’s campaign in Melbourne through mailers.

She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years John Robert Spicer, Sr.; daughter Deena Chavis, son James Smith, daughter Rose Strauss, son Scott Hayes, stepdaughter Toni Brush, stepson Samuel M. Spicer, stepson John Robert Spicer, Jr.; brother Joseph Bonsiero, sister Mary Barbara Bonsiero, sister Linda Bonsiero; 8 grandchildren, Cassie, Tiffany, Lauren, Nicholas, Amanda, Jennifer, Nicole, Michael and several great grandchildren.
