Helen Elizabeth Kaufmann, 81, of Melbourne, died May 25, 2017 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She was born May 12, 1936 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Charles Gatz and Hazel Hamilton. Helen was an artist with a love for nature which she expressed through her paintings.
She is survived by her husband David Kaufmann; four daughters and one son: Deborah, of Louisville, Kentucky; Lauren, of Melbourne, Florida; Kathryn, of Washington DC; Elizabeth, of Melbourne, Florida and Christopher, of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren Zechariah, Shane, Kai, Piper, Cody, Kelley, Emily and Claire; great grandchildren Kayden, Tristian and Z’hariah; brothers Fredrick Gatz (and family) of Colorado Springs; Robert and Richard Gatz (and family) of Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Gatz. Helen will be missed by all of her family and friends that she leaves behind.
