Harvey Anderson Amos Jr., 64, passed away in the arms of his loving wife Lauren surrounded by his friends and family on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
Harvey was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 19, 1953. He grew up in Bluefield, West Virginia.
He was born a true adventurer! As a youth , Harvey's character came to life. He was a fully decorated Eagle Scout. He enlisted in the army during his fledgling college years in 1971. He went on to the US Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division and continued on to Special Forces 11th SFG (Reserves). In the 1980's, he was the personal paramedic and security guard for the late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia when he was the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. He did contractor work from 2003 until 2011. He was also a fire arms and survivalist instructor and a range safety officer. He loved to share his knowledge by teaching & helping others. Harvey was a true southern gentleman, die hard romantic ,a good guitar player with a great voice , animal lover, avid paraglider and an avid Harley Davidson rider. He loved life & lived it to the fullest. There was so much more to this man than can be spoken about. Due to the nature of his work it unfortunately cannot be written about. He was a true Patriot. It can be honestly said...Harvey lived the life of which films are made by.
His family includes his wife, Lauren, his mother, Walton Amos and his sister Virginia Amos.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Anderson Amos Sr.
