Betty Pirie Hildebrand, age 92, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Dec. 10, 2016. Betty was born in Port Chester, N.Y. to the late Isabel and Henry Minich. She graduated from North Tarrytown H.S. in 1942 and continued her studies at NYU in art. In 1946, she married John Pirie, with whom she had five children. They were married 32 years until his passing in 1978. She married the late Bill Hildebrand in 1981. Betty worked as a legal secretary for many years. After Mr. Pirie’s passing, she took over his real estate business and became a successful broker. She enjoyed ping pong, dancing, oil painting and playing bridge.
Betty is dearly beloved by her surviving family, including her son Jack Pirie, daughters Betty Israel and Barbara Pirie, sister Jane Byrne, grandchildren Christy Repp and Jennifer Huberman, great grandchildren Haley, Laney and Mia, stepchildren Billie and David Hildebrand and Nancy Johnson, step grandchildren Catherine and Ben, many much loved nieces and nephews, and her precious dog Maggie.
Betty is preceded by all the loved ones who have passed away before her, including her parents, husband John Pirie, sons Robert and William Pirie, sister Peggy Manna, brother Harry Minich, brother-in-laws Frank Byrne and Ole Manna, second husband Bill Hildebrand, and many dear friends.
She will be dearly missed and forever loved by all.
