Helen Mary Wenzlick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at Life Care Center of Melbourne, FL, at the age of 89. Helen was born in Owosso, MI, Feb. 3, 1927, the daughter of Timothy and Mary (Mahaney) McCaffrey. Twin sister Donna Richardson and brothers Wayne, Leo, and Tom preceded her in death.
Helen and Jacob Peter Wenzlick were married in Owosso, MI, on January 10, 1948. Jake died May 27, 2012, in Bradenton, FL. Helen and Jake had one son, Dennis Michael Wenzlick, born Sept. 20, 1948. Dennis preceded Helen in death, passing away Mar. 21, 2015. Prior to her move from Bradenton, FL, last fall, Helen was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Holmes Beach, FL. Helen was also active in the Mount Vernon Condominium Community in Bradenton, FL. Helen lived in Saginaw, MI, most of her life and was a member of St. Stephen Church. She also owned several beauty salons and was a member of several organizations, including Michigan Hair Dressers, the ALTRUSA club, and Westers White Pine. She and her late husband Jake were members of the former Germania Club. Helen enjoyed playing golf, bridge and dominoes, and watching 60 Minutes .
Survivors include daughter in law Gloria Wenzlick of Melbourne, FL, grandson Shawn Wenzlick and granddaughter in law Wendy of Bryantown, MD, granddaughter Kelly Wenzlick of Melbourne, FL, and two greatgrandchildren, Alanxander Jacob (AJ) and Shannon Wenzlick.
