Thomas Macaulay Babington Jr. - December 31, 1944 - August 29, 2016

Thomas Macaulay Babington Jr., 71, of Palm Bay, FL passed from the loving arms of his family into the healing arms of Jesus on August 29, 2016 after courageously battling cancer. A native Floridian, he was born in Gainesville, FL, throughout his life, he lived in Jacksonville, Cocoa, Melbourne, Atlanta, GA, Clifton Park, NY and in Palm Bay for the last 28 years. From a young age, Tom loved learning, his favorite book to study was The Bible, which he spent countless hours memorizing and reading. He had 2 undergraduate degrees and 2 Masters degrees. His main interest was accounting, and he spent the majority of his career preparing taxes and performing audits. He spent the last several years teaching accounting as an adjunct professor at Eastern Florida State College. He loved this job and his students loved how interesting he made the material, and he always received high reviews from them. Tom was an avid runner, and competed in races and triathlons throughout his life. No day was complete without reading his Wall Street Journal, spending time with his wife, and talking to his daughters and grandchildren. Tom was always encouraging and supporting and was great at making us laugh. His favorite saying was, “Glorify God & Stay in the Game!” He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Tempa, and his precious daughters, Tobie Hollenbeck of Miami, FL and Tracie Fulford (Stephen) of Monticello, FL. He had 6 fabulous grandchildren: Brian and Tate Hollenbeck; Esther, Gannett, Thomas, and Jesse Fulford. He is also survived by his loving mother, Celestia Babington of Melbourne, and his loyal brothers, Ken Babington (Sylvia) of Viera, FL, and Robert Babington (Ann) of Oviedo, FL. He has a host of amazing nieces and nephews who always adored their Uncle Tom.
