Sadly Michael Francis Klingshirn, 58, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 due to complications from an illness.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother Penny Stupka of Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 16 years Carolyn Klingshirn; his father Ken Klingshirn and his wife, Doris; his son, Michael of Wisconsin and daughter, Penny of Michigan; A grand-daughter Olivia (Liv) Anne Vogel (daughter of Penny Klingshirn and Kevin Vogel); two step-children Amy Stenberg and Andrew Miller of Michigan; a son-in-law, Jeff Stenberg; a daughter-in-law, Kirsten Miller, three step-grand-daughters; Vivian, Ava, and Havyn Stenberg; a brother and sister-in-law Jeffrey and Andrea of Ohio; a brother-in-law Mike Mayrand, and several cousins.
Michael is a former resident of Escanaba, Michigan. Prior to his move to Michigan he resided in San Diego, California where he met and married his former wife, Colleen. This marriage was blessed with his two children Michael and Penny.
Michael worked in refrigeration and the beverage repair business for 15 years while residing in California. It was in 1996 that he moved his family to Escanaba, Michigan. He began an 18 year tenure with Pioneer TV & Appliance as an appliance/electronics salesman. He was highly respected by his co-workers and regarded as a highly skilled, industrious, motivated and an indispensable employee and a valuable asset to the stores reputation. He exemplified an excellent rapport with both the public and his colleagues.
In 2014 he moved with his current wife Carolyn to Palm Bay, Florida. Being semiretired enabled him to assume the role as primary care-giver to his 90 year old father-in-law.
Michael will always be remembered for his caring, kind-heartedness toward others. It was customary for him to drop everything at a moments notice, day or night to assist those in need; a sterling trademark of his character.
Aside from spending time with family and friends Michael's favorite pass-times were golfing, bike riding, playing with his grand-daughter Olivia "Liv"; listening to the Rolling Stones; and relaxing in his favorite leather lounge chair in front of the TV.
Michael is dearly loved and will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him and whose lives he touched!
