Ida Marie Butto, age 88, passed on Wednesday, March 3, 2016 at Florida Hospital Orlando, following an accident. Born June 3, 1927 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Henry and Ida Clark, she was the last of seven children. Ida Marie was married to the late Ret. LtCol. Juan S. Butto, Sr. for 66 years before his passing in August of 2015.
Her family includes her son, Juan S. Butto, Jr. and his wife, Becky; son, Michael Butto and his wife, Tracy; daughter, Marie Oliver and her husband, Dale; grandchildren, Kate Dorminy, Brian Oliver, Luke Butto, Abigail Butto, Michael Joseph Butto, Patrick Butto, Kathleen Butto and Caroline Butto; and her great grandchildren, Gracie Ida Marie Butto, Brianna Rene Butto and Kendall Jeanne Dorminy.
As a faithful Catholic, proud Kentuckian, and loving military wife for over 20 years she also enjoyed being a Kentucky Colonel and a Melbourne Red Hat Society member. Ida was compassionate and kind and her family will lovingly remember her as a generous, supportive, and tender mother who selflessly devoted herself to her family and to community causes that needed her.
