Caring, Compassionate and Strong Willed are all words that describe Grete (Peggy) Hoffman
Peggy was born in München Gladback, Germany on 3 May 1926 to Peter Pohlen and Grethe Rönnberg. She immigrated to the United States in 1948, and became a citizen in 1963. She was most proud of having arrived in the United States on the date that Truman was elected president. Her first marriage ended in 1990. She married Omar Hoffman in 1991, and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Throughout her life she served in many different roles including: hospital switchboard operator, mail room clerk for a bank, and volunteer Pink Lady in one of the local hospitals. Her greatest role was as a stay at home mom. She loved to crochet and embroider and did these up until her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Marita (Richard deceased) Williams and Cheryl (Garry) Poindexter, and a son Ken Miller; two grandchildren Ken (Carrie) Williams, Keith (Debbie) Williams; Four great grandchildren Branden Williams, Breanna Williams, Dylan Williams and Logan Williams; several nieces, nephews and a special friends Jeff Milam and Bob Hunter.
