Ethna was born in Barbados on December 06, 1922 to Carlotta Vaughan and Harold Best. She came to America as a young girl in 1939 to live with her father, Harold Best. She later married Leonzo Miller, ll and managed to raise two sons and a daughter as a single parent in the rough section of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. She married again in 1965 to Eustace Babb and spent 18 wonderful years together until December 1981 when he died of a heart attack. She moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1985 to be close to her sons. In 2002, she moved to Melbourne where Ethna and her daughter Michelle have lived together for the past 14 years.
She has been one of Jehovahâs Witnesses for more than 50 years and a member of the Fell Road Kingdom Hall.
Ethna is survived by her daughter Michelle Carr of West Melbourne, FL; her sons Leonzo E. Miller III of Palm Bay, FL and Roger Miller of Live Oak, FL; and a brother Fred Worrell in England. She has eight grandchildren, two preceding her in death; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives who are scattered throughout the world.
Ethna loved her family and family gatherings; she also enjoyed traveling, the ocean, and going to beach. It has been a wonderful 93 years that family and friends have shared with Ethna. She has left us all with many fond memories and pictures that will remain with us forever. She will be sorely missed.
