Dorothea C. Barr, 102, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 after a long illness. Born in Detroit, MI. she retired from teaching in 1977 and moved to Jensen Beach, FL. and then to Grant, FL. in 2015.
She was a member of Jensen Beach Community Church and Port Malabar Garden Club. She enjoyed making crafts and hand sewn quilts.
Mrs. Barr was preceded in death by husband Captain Stanley W. Barr and sons Stanley, Glenn and Robert.
She is survived by daughters-in-law Emily Barr, Grant, FL. Mary Barr, Avoca, MI. and Joan Scovill (Clint) Cumming, GA. Grand children Forrest (Ryoko) Barr, Suwanee, GA. Sheri (David) Hill Bellaire, MI. Cindy (Anthony) Daniel Albuquerque, NM. Great grandchildren Joe Hidakatsu, Julia (Josh) Dunnebeck, Lewis and Alisa Barr. Great great grandsons Jayson and Jayden Dunnebeck. Nephews James (Shiela) Skidmore CA, Gary Skidmore FL, Kevin (Roberta) Skidmore CA, Henry (Kim) Feller TX, Robert Feller MI, Niece Emilie Gonzalez MI.
