Alan Wayne Harshman, 52, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at home with his loving wife Jane by his side. As a devoted loving father, his family includes his daughters, Jacqueline and Stephanie and her husband Phillip McMenimen. He was an amazing Grandfather to Colin and Declan.
Alan’s family will miss him everyday as Alan was taken too soon. Our hearts are broken and the loss has left an immeasurable loss where Alan’s wonderful life once lived. Alan fought valiantly to overcome the injuries he sustained 22 months ago. His spirit now flies free.
Alan was an extraordinary individual, always giving and doing for others. He participated in many Blue Water Opens and played a major role in the Kids Blue Water Opens. He was very active in many other charities. As an avid fisherman, he was instrumental in recently sinking an artificial reef offshore of Sebastian Inlet. Fellow enthusiasts are placing a buoy on the reef bearing Alan’s name.
