William J. Moroney of Indialantic, FL died on August 9, 2017 due to complications from a stroke. Bill was born in Boston, MA on September 29, 1925. He graduated from Brighton High in 1943, then served 8 years in the US Navy. He married Josephine Pratt on October 16, 1948. He then earned his BS in electronics from Pacific States University in 1963 and a MS in Space Technology from BEC/FIT in 1966. He worked in the Space Industry from 1956-1970 (at PAFB from 1963-1970), then for Bell South from 1971 until his retirement. Bill was a Sky Diver with 62+ jumps. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and was an avid hacker at the golf course. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jo, and his sons Tim and Bill. He is survived by his daughter Nancy Devaux (Sean) and four grandchildren: Matthew and Meghan Moroney, Corey (Lynn) Devaux and Mikaela (Mihail) Devaux Stojanovski.
