Edward D. Nobles, 68, died peacefully at home in Rockledge, FL on July 13, 2017 with his beloved wife Catherine (Neary) Nobles by his side. A veteran of Vietnam War, he was also a correctional officer in the State of Rhode Island.
He enlisted in the Army in 1968 and was a Military Police investigator (MOS 95V) with the 716th MP Battalion which was part of the 18th MP Brigade. He was stationed in Long Binh, Vietnam. He completed his military career in the Rhode Island Army National Guard with 20 years of honorable service.
Edward Nobles was born on December 2, 1948 in Laconia, NH to late Obie and Lucile Nobles and raised in Victoria TX.
He is survived by wife Catherine, three sons, Edward Nobles Jr and his son Brandon of Coventry RI; Kevin Nobles and his wife Marissa and his daughters Abby, Mackenzie and Madison of Stone County MO; Step daughter Christine Ross and husband Eric and their six children Rebecca Lala, Austin Bailey, Brandon Bailey, Samuel Ross, Tyler Bailey and Jacob Ross; Step-father of the late David Roy of Coventry RI; Edward also adored his pet Maltese “Peanut”.
He was wonderfully cared for by the assisted living facility “Blessings” and Wuesthoff Health System Brevard Hospice & Palliative Care. Edward and family was greatly appreciative of “Blessing” owners Jeana and Robert Blankenship and Hospice nurse Dan Worley.
