Edwin Austin Ward, born March 3, 1933, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017. He was a dedicated and loving husband, and father. Ed was a 14 year Air Force veteran. He also served as a cook and a refrigeration mechanic during his tour. After retirement from the Kennedy Space Center, Ed enjoy playing golf, gardening, carpentry and cooking. However, nothing compared to his love of doing things for and with his family.
He will be remembered by his family and friends as hardworking, self-less and dedicated. He was always eager to help out whenever there was a need. Most of all, we will miss his sense of humor and his smile.
Ed is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Lee Ward. He is survived by his sons Tony (Carolyn) and Don; daughter Cindy (Chris) Buccieri; grandchildren Cheryl (Al) Rossetti, Lisa (Kevin) Palmer, Tony Ward, Jr., Sean Ward, Michael Buccieri, Alyssa Buccieri and 8 great-grandchildren.
He is loved deeply by his family and friends, and though we will miss him dearly, we know that someday, we will see him again.
