Hally D Conklin, age 91, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017. Hally was a WW2 Navy veteran who served in 4 campaigns on The Springfield, and then as a loyal iron worker (Local 808) for the remainder of his life. He did not fully retire until age 78 because he loved his work; and he continued to attend reunion events for both. He was also devoted to the various dogs he adopted and to his work with the Humane Society. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Hal was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hester; son, Kenneth; mother, Ethyl (Ivan "Red") Boyd; brother, Robert Conklin. Surviving are his sister, Patricia (Chuck) Zarka; his sons Terrance (Lanette), David (Jeannie), and Ronald; daughter, Krista and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends.
